The Gridbuilder 10kW/20kWh 3 Phase System offers a reliable and powerful solution for energy storage in households with significant consumption. This advanced system allows you to optimize your energy management, reduce your dependence on the electricity grid and benefit from backup power in the event of a power outage.
The inverter has a length of 699.3 mm and a weight of 33.6 kg. The inverter and the battery are placed together, which ensures efficient energy transfer and minimal energy losses.
The battery system is fireproof with dimensions of 580 mm x 387 mm x 1300 mm and a weight of 135 kg. The battery has an impressive capacity of 20 kWh, allowing you to store excess energy generated by your solar panels or other energy sources. At times when there is no energy production, you can use the stored energy to cover your energy consumption, or charge from the grid with the smart EMS control for optimal efficiency. This makes you less dependent on the electricity grid and reduces energy costs through optimal use of supply and demand.
The 10kW/20kWh 3 Phase battery system is recommended for households with an average annual consumption of between 6000 and 7000 kWh. With a power of 10 kW you can cover a large part of your energy needs using the generated solar energy and the energy stored in the battery. In addition, this system provides backup power, ensuring that important devices continue to operate during power outages and your daily routines can continue uninterrupted.
With a minimum connection of 3 x 25A and suitable for 3-phase configurations, this system is compatible with modern household electricity networks.
Installation
The Gridbuilder’s smart battery solution works both without and in combination with solar panels. If you already have solar panels, the battery will be added as a ‘retrofit installation’. The system is added to an existing solar panel system. This allows you to store the excess energy and use or sell it later. A ‘retrofit installation’ can be applied to all brands of solar panel inverters, so we can read all models and brands.
We determine in advance where it is best to place the battery. Outdoor setups are also possible in a special outdoor cabinet. The final installation will take a full day, depending on the situation.
Control subscription
With this battery solution you immediately save on your energy bill by ‘trading’ electricity on the various energy markets and you contribute to balancing the supply and demand of electricity on the grid. The software ensures that electricity is purchased at the cheapest hours of the day and sold at the most expensive hours, based on a dynamic energy contract. Because netting is currently allowed in the Netherlands, the home battery yields the most in this way.
As soon as netting stops, the algorithm automatically adjusts to first charging with your own solar power – supplemented with charging at the cheapest hours from the grid. This is then used to get your meter towards zero! In addition, surpluses from our own generation and from the grid for the meter (the electricity grid) will be traded. This way you always have the cheapest electricity and the optimal efficiency of the day, even in the winter months.
Even without solar panels you can save a lot on your energy bill and you can be part of a larger network.
Monthly terminable
The Gridbuilder provides the control service via a free ‘entry-level’ subscription. We maintain and develop the algorithm every day, so that the most out of the home battery is obtained. As long as the subscription runs, the battery system is actively controlled and the app can monitor the total amount generated, purchased, used, sold and earned. The Gridbuilder control is connected to the local Wi-Fi network via a hardware box.
Warranty
Due to daily use of the battery, it loses a very small amount of power over the years, so slightly less capacity remains. The minimum capacity that the battery must have after a certain use is stated in the warranty. The batteries have the following warranty, whichever comes first:
- After 10 years, at least 80% of the original capacity remains.
- minimum 6000 charging cycles up to 10000 cycles (depending on brand); during active charging and discharging, an average of 1.5 cycles are run per day. This means a lifespan of 11 years with a warranty of 6000 cycles.
Parameters are incorporated into the control that protect the battery against unnecessarily rapid wear.
